The new Brick Setout Function automatically adjusts walls and windows to suit real brick dimensions, taking the frustration out of brick-based design.
Support includes:
• 230mm (1-course) brick setout
• 290mm (2-course) brick setout
• Custom formats for concrete blocks and other masonry systems
But this goes far beyond simply resizing walls.
You can also:
• Choose the snap/setout type
• Display custom setout text in plan
• Control reveal depth for different brick formats
• Automatically maintain brick module accuracy throughout the model
And the standout feature — automatic corner windowing.
Anyone who has worked with brick setouts knows how difficult corner windows can be. This new function handles it automatically while keeping everything aligned to brick dimensions.
Simply place windows at the ends of adjoining walls and the tool will automatically:
• Corner the windows
• Adjust the sizing as closely as possible
• Maintain proper brick setout logic
What used to take careful manual adjustment can now happen automatically in seconds.
This update to the 4D Roofing tool will change the way you use ArchiCAD. Finally, multi-plane roofs can have linked gutters, barges, sheeting etc etc. Its the same 4D Roofing tool, but on multi-plane roofs.
But the best bit. A gutter overlap can be easily covered, so only one mult-plane roof should ever be needed.
And even if you need to explode into single plane roofs, the 4D Roofing will stay attached.
To link to multi-plane roofs, select 'Link 4D Roofing to Roofs' from the 4D Library menu. DO NOT use the standard roof accessories method.

New update to improve the UI of the Roofing Tools - Waffle Slab - Footing Tool and Site Setout object
Not only does this change make it easier to use the object, but more information is now shown. The Site Setout Tool in particular now has improved button logic for easier selection as well as dashed lines joining the relevant nodes
This entirely new part will create a steel frame suitable for commercial kitchens and remote cabinet works. Does a host of functions that are expected of a 4D Library part
The footing tool now has a new feature to show an offset around a slab.. made for setout plans. So those offices that model the slab to the outside of the wall (The correct way) can now easily create a slab offset line to represent the walls
Label Maker Update.
Segmented Beams and Columns are now supported. Simply select the segment you want to label and the smart label will display settings for that segment
EG. This column has been label three times. Each label is linking to a different segment of the column.. this of course creates a live link, so if the column moves, is deleted, or is adjusted, the smart labels will change. The same applies to the beam tool
Cupboard assembly. New shelving grid flexibility and small bug fix to undermount sq. sinks.
The Vanity Unit now has more flexibility when nominating the drawers. You can now choose the number of drawers in each drawer unit.
New wall thickness option in the Label Maker. This allows for labels that link to the opening width and the wall thickness at the same time

Cupboard Stack has a new option to lock the height. So that if a section is stretched, only the top section will change.
The Standard Notes Object can now reference anything from the project info, or reference a story then display the story as millimetres, metres or brick courses.
Open the Garage Door in 3D via hotspots. Door panels run up track perfectly.
By popular demand.. because these openings are now in vogue, arched topped doors, door openings, cavity sliders, internal doors and of course the garage door can all now arched tops
To complement these arches, most door panels have been made to suit and a couple of new panelled doors have been added to the already extensive list of door panels.
(Available in v32+ of the library)
The Cupboard Assembly has been significantly upgraded with the main feature the ability to curved the top at any corner as well as created a curved panel below the overhang.
This new feature allows for the easy creation of many new, modern cabinets.. even creating side boards and TV cabinets.
To enhance the end panels, the ability to create a finger gap consistent with the top door gap has been added.

The user interface has had an overall with hierarchical menus allowing for easier navigation from section to section.
The "Tops and Overhangs" page has the radius for each corner added as a parameter. Plus the sink settings have been overhauled so more tap and bowl settings are available.
The Wall accessory tool has had an upgrade to allow layered sections of panelling
Each layer can have a rail of differing size to separate or cap the cladding.
This new feature should prove very popular.
You can curve the fixed screens on the shower part.
With showers surrounded by 3 walls, just select the "frameless" frame type and 'No Door' as the screen type.. then set your radius
Width showers against 2 walls, Select a 'Rod' Style screen type and then apply a radius (Features expanded as of the 20th of July)
New ability in many parts to mask the text, handy for when the text is sitting on another element, making it easier to read
New Custom Rain Water Head.. This option lets you turn any shaped geometry - modelled with a slab or morph or roof etc.. become a Rain Water Head..

New curved ends options. Easily model the latest design trends in cabinetry
This compliments the Cabinet Assembly nicely.
Key updates include:
Tile and shingle surfaces can now have a random set out using up to 4 different materials. Making for very eye-catching results
Improved ridge cappings around gable ends, as any edge can now be hidden
Flashings can be created against walls
A new roof edges page allows edges to be selected in the UI, eliminating the need for clumsy hotspots in the plan (though they are still available if preferred). You can select from various edge types
New pre-set roof types for skillion, standard hip and valley, gables etc. You can also then setup exposed eaves, downpipe sizes, tiled and tin with a button click

4D Roofing
Skylights and other openings can now be easily added to any room in the air movement schedule
Storey Level Single Line object: The most flexible and efficient way to create storey level lines, that are linked to the storey settings. Easily skip a storey or reduce the length of one storey line.. and as soon as a storey changes - the Storey Level Lines update.
The window and external door window sills have not changed for a very long time. During this upgrade, many small improvements have been added and inconsistencies have been fixed. As well as two new sill types.
3 new WC styles bring this old part, finally up to date. Many people rely on the 4D Toilet because of its slab setout feature and therefore will not use other WC parts. This update brings a new modern look to the Toilet as well as keeping the slab setout capabilities.
With rare features like adjustable radius' and parametric cistern, this WC will do a great wall faced WC

The 4D library for version 24 - 25 - 26 and 27 currently have almost exactly the same feature set. The only real difference is the Zone Label function which is not available in ArchiCAD 24.
With a newly developed in-house "version management system", version 24 & 25 should be able to receive most updates to the latest 4D Library parts for years to come.. but unfortunately any API based developments will be restricted...
